A Day in the Life of The Clinic for Plastic Surgery

Chief Operating Officer — Open Letter

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in becoming the Chief Operating Officer at The Clinic for Plastic Surgery. We recognize how essential it is to work for an organization that shares your values and to find true enjoyment and fulfillment in what you do each day, so we wanted to provide you with further insight into what our organization is all about.

As the Chief Operating Officer, your day-to-day consists of three main tasks:

- Driving intentional delivery of the five-star patient experience

- Operations management

- Accountability and process standardization

It's our goal to improve our patients' lives through treatment plans that are designed to enhance their self-esteem and confidence. The Clinic for Plastic Surgery is comprised of three distinct entities: a plastic surgery practice, an ambulatory surgery center, and a med spa.

Your #1 responsibility every day is to ensure The Clinic for Plastic Surgery team does everything they can to deliver a five-star, VIP-level patient experience across every touchpoint of the practice.

FROM FIRST CONTACT TO POST-PROCEDURE FOLLOW-UP, YOUR FOCUS IS MAKING SURE EVERY PATIENT FEELS HEARD, RESPECTED, AND CARED FOR – NEVER RUSHED, OVERLOOKED, OR TREATED LIKE A TRANSACTION

This may sound easy, but it involves lots of attention to detail, cross-team coordination, and disciplined execution. Delivering a true five-star experience requires actively listening to patients and staff, ensuring the facility is fully prepared, and holding service standards consistently high – even on busy or challenging days. It also means asking “how can we make this better?” often, identifying breakdowns before they become problems, and creating systems that make excellence repeatable.

At The Clinic for Plastic Surgery, patients don’t just benefit from Dr. Sukkar’s clinical expertise and bedside manner – they experience a coordinated, patient-centered model of care supported by cutting-edge technology and a highly trained team.

We have five Core Drivers that help our ELITE team members separate us from the competition:

Exceptional Active Listening: We listen using all senses, ask thoughtful questions, and clearly define each patient’s goals, concerns, and expectations with integrity.

Luxurious Destination: Our facility is pristine, organized, and immediately welcoming – from the front desk to the treatment rooms and all of our amenities.

Best-in-Class Technology: We use cutting-edge technology and streamlined processes to elevate outcomes while providing superior results for providers, patients, and staff.

Patient-Led VIP Care: We treat patients as partners in their care – informed, respected, and involved in every decision. Every patient feels special. No one ever feels like a number, a chart, or a transaction.

Shared Understanding, Collaborative Success: We communicate clearly and directly, with patients and with each other. The entire team is accountable for clear priorities, next steps, and ownership – so we deliver with precision, and nothing falls through the cracks.

Please understand, we are not looking for someone who prefers to leave leadership to others.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO TAKE FULL OWNERSHIP OF THEIR TEAM’S SUCCESS AND THAT EVERYONE ON THE TEAM IS OPERATING FROM THE SAME HIGH STANDARD

As the Chief Operating Officer, your position will be full-time and facility-based in Houston, Texas.

There’s a unique aspect to our business, and that is that we’re working directly with The Prosper Group in a revenue-share model. As part of this partnership, we leverage The Prosper Group’s proprietary methodologies when it comes to our operations, including Profit First – driving our cash management, Clockwork – ensuring that processes, systems, and people are running the day-to-day instead of the owner, and The 5-Star Employee Hiring System to objectively hire a 5-Star Fit for each and every role.

You will undergo a structured onboarding and indoctrination into the above-mentioned proprietary methodologies.

You will work closely with Dr. Sukkar and The Prosper Group on strategic priorities and operational decision-making, with additional collaboration and training alongside key team members to gain a deep understanding of the clinic’s commitment to excellence, workflows, and growth objectives.

As the COO, your days begin with setting the tone for the team – leading the Daily Huddle meetings, reviewing priorities, and ensuring everyone is aligned on goals, responsibilities, and patient needs for the day. The early hours often include reviewing communications, responding to emails, and addressing any immediate operational issues that could impact the patient experience.

As the day progresses, time is spent working within the Run Like Clockwork framework: documenting and refining processes, strengthening accountability, and identifying where systems can be improved or standardized. This is also when performance data and reports are reviewed – tracking Level 10 Dashboard metrics, spotting trends, and determining where adjustments are needed to stay on target.

A significant portion of the day involves connecting with people. You’ll regularly touch base with team members across departments, offering support, removing obstacles, and stepping in to resolve issues as they arise. Some days that means putting out fires; others it means coaching leaders or strengthening collaboration across the organization.

Over time, as you gain a deeper understanding of the clinic, the role becomes increasingly proactive. You’ll spend more time identifying opportunities, asking the right questions, uncovering root causes, and executing improvements that drive precision, integrity, and results.

AT ITS CORE, EVERY DAY IS ABOUT LEARNING, REFINING, AND EXECUTING – CONTINUOUSLY ASKING “WHY” TO DISCOVER BETTER WAYS TO OPERATE THAT SUPPORT GROWTH WHILE PRESERVING THE EXCEPTIONAL VIP-LEVEL EXPERIENCE PATIENTS EXPECT

We hope this letter has helped to explain what your day-to-day would look like as the Chief Operating Officer.

While there is much more that was not touched upon, we wanted to give you a general idea of what to expect.

If this sounds interesting because you always strive to make things better, care deeply about delivering results, and like to lead with clarity and decisiveness, then you more than likely have what it takes to be an ELITE Chief Operating Officer, and we would love to add you to our team!

Industry

Insights

From Competition to Competitive Advantage.

Plastic surgery practices increasingly compete with med spas for non-surgical, cash-pay aesthetic services such as injectables and skin treatments. The most successful organizations don’t fight med spas – they integrate their services to create a seamless patient journey – which is exactly what we’ve done at The Clinic for Plastic Surgery. This approach increases patient lifetime value, strengthens retention, and positions us as a comprehensive aesthetic destination.

Where Operational Leadership Makes the Difference.

The plastic surgery industry remains highly fragmented, with solo practitioners dominating much of the market. Many surgeons are responsible not only for clinical care, but also for administrative, financial, and operational management. This creates inefficiencies, limits scalability, and increases burnout at the leadership level. We intend to break that cycle by introducing a COO to our team who will build meaningful systems, uphold accountability, and focus on execution of the five-star experience our patients expect.

To verify every new employee is an ideal fit for the role, we take candidates through an objective hiring process powered by The 5-Star Employee Hiring System and comprised of the following:

NOTE: Candidates who do not follow the process and/or contact the employer directly will not be considered.
